The MING × J.N. Shapiro 37.06 Lightning celebrates the artistry and ingenuity of independent watchmaking, uniting the talents of longtime friends HOROLOGER MING and J.N. Shapiro in a timepiece shaped by true hand craftsmanship. At the heart of this luxury watch is a solid grade 2 titanium dial, individually cut by hand on a traditional rose engine lathe in Los Angeles using the exclusive Lightning guilloché pattern. The richly textured surface is then transformed in Kuala Lumpur, where Ming Thein heat-treats each dial by hand with a butane torch to create a naturally occurring spectrum of blue, violet, and amber hues. Because no paints or coatings are used, every dial develops a one-of-a-kind character, making each watch a unique expression of artisanal horology.

The 38mm stainless steel case offers a refined and highly wearable profile, with a slim 10.9mm thickness, 44.5mm lug-to-lug measurement, and 100 meters of water resistance. A domed sapphire crystal with luminous HyCeram hour markers frames the vivid dial, while blued hands filled with Super-LumiNova X1 maintain excellent legibility. Inside, the manual-wind Sellita for MING Calibre SW210.M1 features skeletonized bridges, an anthracite-coated baseplate, and a 42-hour power reserve. Visible through the sapphire caseback, this beautifully finished movement underscores the collaborative spirit and technical sophistication that define the MING × J.N.
