Czapek’s relentless pursuit of mechanical beauty takes center stage in the Antarctique Tourbillon collection, featuring the new in-house Czapek Calibre 9. This remarkable movement showcases a vertically aligned open-worked flying tourbillon, gear train, and barrel, each meticulously revealed on the dial side for an unparalleled sense of depth and lightness. The tourbillon seemingly hovers between the main plate and dial, while a long, curved minutes bridge gracefully spans the center, connecting the intricate mechanics. Every angle is hand-polished, and the satin-finished arms of the tourbillon cage create mesmerizing light reflections. The movement also demonstrates significant technical advancements, including a finely machined convex titanium tourbillon cage and an innovative anticlockwise crown wheel. Designed and constructed mostly in-house, the calibre embodies Czapek’s commitment to both independence and collaboration, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to the traditional établissage model while partnering with the finest artisans in haute horlogerie.

Explore the Glacier Blue and Photon Sphere here.
Amplifying the watch’s visual impact, Czapek enlisted Metalem to craft the Singularité guilloché dial, a hypnotic vortex-inspired pattern that creates the illusion of infinite depth. Unlike traditional guilloché, this complex technique shifts the starting point with each lathe pass, resulting in a mesmerizing play of light. The dial’s purity is enhanced by integrating the hour markers into the flange and seamlessly embedding the bridges within the guilloché plate.
Offered in Glacier Blue, Photon Sphere (a rich 5N gold hue), and the exclusive Secret Alloy grey (shown here and available in just 50 pieces). The Antarctique Tourbillon’s stainless-steel case has been refined to complement its curvilinear aesthetic, featuring subtly raised sapphire crystals for a floating effect. Even the gold winding rotor is convex and hand-engraved with a black-hole-inspired motif. Completing the timepiece is a stainless-steel bracelet with a micro-adjustment system and a quick-change mechanism, along with an additional rubber or leather strap, ensuring versatility without compromising luxury.
