Louis Erard ventures again into the surreal, teaming up once again with the master of horological oddities Konstantin Chaykin. Their latest collaboration revisits the sinister spirit of the Likho, a one-eyed creature from Slavic mythology. This newest 42 mm addition shows off a blue hour ring surrounding the saw-toothed, cyclopean monster known only as The Time-Eater. 

This menacing beast stares back with a single, all-seeing hour subdial "eye," while a jagged grin devours the seconds from 6 o’clock. Its minute and hour hands extend like disjointed limbs, frozen in expressive poses left to the wearer’s interpretation. Encased in a polished steel body, the Time-Eater is finished with a black toad leather strap, lined in a mysterious shade of blue rabbit leather. Unsettling, playful, and strangely refined, it’s not for the faint of wrist.

Louis Erard has carved a distinct space in Swiss watchmaking by making collectible horology both accessible and daring. Past collaborations with Alain Silberstein, Vianney Halter, Kudoke, Massena LAB, Cédric Johner, GoS, and the Horophile have proven their willingness to defy tradition and challenge aesthetic norms. This partnership with Chaykin pushes that envelope even further, diving headfirst into the uncanny.

Konstantin Chaykin, a celebrated member of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI), is known worldwide for his eerie and inventive “Wristmons”—wrist monsters that balance the bizarre and the brilliant. Since debuting the collection in 2017, Chaykin has become synonymous with fantastical design and high complication, holding 94 patents across his remarkable career. This latest creation is not just a watch—it’s a myth brought to life, ticking away on your wrist.
