The result is a limited edition detailed legible regulator with classic sensibilities in a contemporary package, available in two finishes. The 2N gold plated version of Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Massena LAB brings a compelling warmth to the wrist that allows the blued steel lead shaped hands to stand out and show off the time at every turn. As William Massena of MASSENA LAB explains: “A successful collaboration is one that makes sense. LOUIS ERARD allowed me to mix codes, to cite the classicism of a master watchmaker like Antide Janvier, and to democratize a style that’s usually reserved for wealthy collectors.” The 42 millimeter polished steel case sports the roundness of old pocket watches, although tightened by sapphire crystal. The matte silver rhodium plated dial is reminiscent of the elegant simplicity of the 1950s, but revitalized with shifting levels and contrasting finishes. Two counters for hours and seconds are balanced at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock respectively. Each detail has been finely crafted in order to produce an original and decidedly contemporary result.
