ARMENTA: Gold from the Ages
Reminiscent of long lost sunken Spanish galleons, native Texan Emily Armenta fashions oxidized sterling silver with diamonds and gemstones to create feminine romantic jewelry with a rocker edge.
Emily Armenta had always had an interest in sketching, designing and working with stones since she was young, but it wasn’t until an entrepreneurship class while working on her MBA that she discovered she could turn this love of jewelry into a full time career. Creating a fictitious jewelry company, Emily cranked out a full jewelry line and asked a local boutique in Dallas to sell the line as an ongoing element of her assignment. In no time the local boutique was calling for reorders. A designer was born.
Seven years later Emily’s line is sold nation wide and decorates the Hollywood bodies of Marisa Tomei, Glenn Close and Lisa Kudrow. Emily Armenta is the recipient of the Town & Country 2008 Couture Jewelry Silver Award and the 2009 Couture Design Winner for Best in Silver for her use of oxidizing sterling silver.
