ARMAN: A Blend of Byzantine and Goth
A native of Armenia, Arman Sarkisyan grew up in his father’s studio, where he started dabbling in goldsmith at age 12. Years later Arman prides himself on the old-school methods he learned from his father. Arman's artistic inspiration and training give him the distinction of creating each piece from the conception of the design all the way to its birth.
Creating pieces with ornate 22kt yellow golds, and oxidized silver, Arman’s designs draw from gothic and Byzantine-era motifs with glimpses of mystical and spiritual symbols. Following up on the 2009 Couture Design Winner for Best of Colored Gemstones, Arman was named both the Editor's Choice Winner and Best in Silver Design at the 2010 Couture Awards.
